September 14-15, 2001:  Sophomore College: The Game

Game Summary:
This was our first taste of being on the GC side of The Game.  One of the original members of Blood & Bones, Chris Cheng, organized this Mini-Game for the students of the Stanford Sophomore College.  It consisted of 8 clues located within the boundaries of the Stanford campus, each at the approximately level of difficulty of a typical full-length Game, and 11 teams entered.  Most of the clues were designed by the members of the Blood & Bones team, who also participated in Game Control on the day of the event.  The winning team (Zen Booty) finished in just under 9 hours, and teams were cut off after 12 hours if they had not yet finished.  This was a rousing success, and a great time was had by all.  We also realized what preparation and forethought is needed to pull off such an event, especially considering this was on a much smaller scale than a full-size Game.
